I love my program, the classes are great, and there are many opportunities because it's easy to get in touch with professors.

The history department is fantastic! There are no TAs and the professors truly care about their students and studies.

I am a Studio Art Major. You do not have to apply to get into the program, you just have to declare your major during the spring semester of your sophomore year. I love the art department here, the faculty are really helpful and always available outside class. It's a very rigorous major, culminating with a senior show in the Tang Museum on campus. Class sizes will generally range from 10-16 students. The Studio Art program is pretty popular on campus, along with the Business, English, Social Work and Psychology. In general, students have to wait till the 300 level advanced classes to be independent in their work, in the beginning classes it's very much instruction, technique based.

As a freshman, I can't give a great review of this school-- especially since I've only been here a term. I'm a London freshman, and the transition to campus was hard. But, joining lots of clubs left me meeting AMAZING new people. The school itself is lovely, but lacks a variety in the sort of things I'm interested in... communications, photography, fashion. It's become a hard toss up if I could be happier and more successful somewhere else.

I'm Not Very Pleased – I'm a psychology major because criminology is not an available major at Skidmore. It is almost impossible to get into the classes that you want in psych, especially the required ones. It gets easier as you go from freshman to senior but I know some seniors that will have to take an extra semester after they graduate to officially graduate- and they aren't athletes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
