Good Financial Aid, but Still Expensive!

Smith offers very good financial aid and scholarships, but it is still an expensive school. However, if you honestly need the financial aid, you will get it. There are also a lot of work study options for students with financial aid.

A Bit of a Hassle..

Smith requires all students to fill out the FAFSA and the CSS PROFILE which is kind of a huge hassle. Smith does however guarantee to meet 100% of a students unmet need.

Financial Aid Office Is SUPER Helpful

The Smith Aid office may not be able to give you all the money you need, but they will try to give you all they can. They are also very helpful in answering questions and talking to you about requirements.

Advice on Financial Aid

Definitely know the requirements for financial aid at Smith. For example, if you don't apply for aid before being admitted into Smith, you will not be eligible to receive insitutional aid until you complete 64 credits. If you apply on time but don't receive the amount of aid you were expecting, ask that your case be reviewed. The Smith financial aid office is there to help students.
