They helped me with making my schedule. They were able to transfer my credits easily.

That they are willing to help you out in a tough time. The campus community plays a big part. Everyone there is trying to better themselves. They what to succeed just as much as you.

I don't have any online courses. I use blackboard a lot though along with some of my teachers.

The Student Center or as we call it the Learning Commons, is amazing. I spend a lot of time in there. The people in there are nice, the tutors are always willing to help you out. Other students help out with what you need. If they don't know they help you find out where you can find it.

Their are many computer labs, in every building. You can use your own personal computer or one at school. They are always available.

Everyone has been so nice to help me out. I tell everyone looking to go to school about them. Whatever problems I'm having I know I can always get help. I go into my speech class and I know everyone in there cares. We all try to help each other with whatever we are doing. Even if we are disagreeing.

I have learned that I'm not very well with science at all. I also have learned what my comfort zone is.

The teachers take the time to get to know the students and go out of the way to help you. I know I can always get help in whatever subject.

They are very nice and if you are needing help they try to see what they can do. Everyone is trying to get their education so they can have a better future. Everyone tries to help one another. The conversations go between planning study groups to just about what your doing in your free time.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
They went far beyond what I had expected. Simply wonderful, I got so much help which shocked me to the core. They took the time to explain everything to me.

There are tons of resources at your fingertips at my college. Between the library or the learning commons to the databases on black board there is always some place where you can get information

I had never taken an online course before so I was a little nervous. After taking the course the professor was very prompt on emailing back on questions and the UI was easy to use.

There is tons of options at Somerset Community College, other campuses, online classes, hybrid classes, and more. They partner with other colleges like EKU to transfer credits and tuition. They are really about helping anybody have an option to further their education.

College is different from High School no matter where you go. The teachers won't baby you, but, you have options such as online, or other classes. The teachers do show some interest to keep you, but they won't beg.

I am practically undecided, but by taking associates in Arts so far, i am getting to take many classes i will need regardless of my major i decide to choose. I am taking a computer class, and interpersonal communications, two classes i will need regardless of my choice of major. Somerset Community College has a great selection of classes, and have done nothing but helped me.

This school has some great campus recources, and is all the time doing things on the campus, whether it be fundraisers, or just social events! There are so many opportunities to get involved with the school, the staff, and your peers. I do wish that there were more clubs to get involved in, though.

This school has given me no help in anything for after I finish. I know some of the more popular programs such as nursing and dental assistant get tons of help in finding jobs for their stidents that will utilize their degree, but no one has done anything of that sorts for me.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The people in the office that are supposed to help you with the financial aid process are very friendly but not very adequate at their jobs. They know a little about what they're dealing with, but mostly just tell you to go online and do everything for yourself. They only email you deadlines for financial aid, and don't bother to remind you any other way. Sometimes they don't even apply your aid until everything is said and done, so you have to pay for everything, then just get sort of reimbursed at the end of the semester.

Most professors are very understanding of any issues that you have regarding not understand the content, or simply not having time to complete an assignment. Since it was a community college, everyone seemed very understanding that most of the students had other things going on in their lives.

In my major, early childhood education, most of the classes I have taken have been online. In today's society, I believe online classes are great in some ways, for some peopple, but they're just not for me. Some of my professors were very understanding of techincal issues and other un-forseen circumstances that come with online classes, but others were simply inconsiderate. Most of the professors that I had could help with any questions that I had, but it took some time for them to message you back with answers, some simply did not reply. Blackboard does that a great Instant Messaging application that came in very handy, especially when contacting peers.

Online classes are great. They have really relaxed schedules so you're never stressed over a too full workload. Plus the material is really easy to keep up with.

The student body is so diverse at my school. In one class you have have recent high school grads, retired adults returning to school, married people with kids and/or jobs, it's really amazing at all the people you can meet in one spot. It also helps with studying ad group assignments because someone is always going to have some type of experience with whatever you're working on. Most people are friendly and goof off a lot but they always take class pretty serious and are really interested in making the grade.
