Academic Excellence

At the school of mines the academic persona is seen as one of the best. All the professors are student oriented that are willing to help anyone willing to work. Study groups are so easy to find and there is a tutoring center open seven days a week. Registration is online and can be a little bit painful but always can get helped out. The workload can be heavy but is worth it knowing your gonna have a top education form a school that is nationally ranked. Classes are also very small normally other than the generals like Chemistry.

Nightlife

I'm only 19 so I have not been exposed to the 21+ nightlife but there are quite a few activities that are fun to go out with a group of friends. Prices aren't bad and most are right near the school.

Feeling Safe

I have always felt completely safe at on campus. It is small, friendly, and just a safe place. I always left my door unlocked in or out of it knowing nobody will steal my things or mess with me. Everyone was friendly and always welcome to come hang out whenever. The security was also very good and health was superb. Whenever you needed something you could go down and get treated. All around a great first year in college.
