STC's originality and distinguishing characteristics are what make it special. The students, professors, faculty, and staff are exceptional. The majority of the students at STC believe that the education they receive is something to cherish and appreciate. Don’t think that just because STC is not the most recognized college that it is not worth attending. Being a student at STC means you will receive one-on-one attention from professors and staff who have a genuine interest in your education and success.
One thing you do have to learn to embrace while attending STC is the heat. Students at STC sweat out each semester, but not just because of the tests. Although the buildings are very well air-conditioned, the temperatures in the Rio Grande Valley usually elevate up to 110 degrees throughout late spring, summer, and early fall. Regardless of the heat, most students learn to overcome it and eventually fall in love with STC because of its close-knit atmosphere and caring people. STC isn’t just a college you leave behind in two years. It is a place where you make lifelong friends, have unforgettable experiences, and obtain the knowledge that you need to succeed in life.
