I don't go out to parties so I have no personal answers to these questions.

Downtown Hammond is the most fun you will ever have. It's not the biggest bar scene, but there are plenty of bar options and a few clubs. The crowd and atmosphere is what makes it awesome.

Nightlife in Hammond isn't exclusively for those that are 21+. We have such a problem with underage students drinking in bars here that it has become a chore to have to deal with the high school immaturity that you often find in the bars and clubs surrounding campus. That being said, you can easily walk to several bars in the area from campus and some have a shuttle service to get you back home safely. I would rather invite some friends over for a couple glasses of wine and dinner.

Every thursday is party night, some students mess up party too much, and flunk out, the smart people like me and my friends party sometimes, and put in alot of work towards our projects, school work and such...
There are plenty for clubs for people 18 and up, about there within 10 mins of the schools distance. some students walk there others drive.
The clubs are pretty safe and fun.

Southeastern is right by downtown and down the street from The Buzz. People are pretty cool and I've had lots of fun around there though you get people from all surrounding areas, and of course some high schoolers because it's 18+. They need a 19+ cap to ward some of them off but it's still a fun scene.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
