The school I attend is said to be the most diverse school in Maine. Southern Maine Community College(SMCC) is a great school to start at. SMCC also helps and supports all types of religious and sexual backgrounds. SMCC gives students free tutoring; people are always willing to help people. Everybody here is friendly.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I had a hard time this semester. They dispersed my refund check into 3 checks, making it a hardship on me. The day I went to get my check they were rude and couldn't accommodate me at all. It was very frustrating to pay so much money for school, than to be treated rudely is not a good way to keep up student relations.

I feel the 95% of the time I received the grade I deserved. But I have had 2-3 teachers that I felt graded me on the fact we clashed.

The transfer office isn't much help so it's best to know where and what you want to do. The woman tried to steer me away from Unity College because it was private and more money. With all my scholarships they have given me it's the same cost as SMCC.

Liberal Arts was awesome! I loved taking the art classes, different sciences and even French. With the culinary arts program I went to Alaska to do my extership and had a life changing time! They were always offering after school activities; helping with a live cooking show, ice sculpturing or even helping for big events in Maine like harvest on the harbor.
