The cops do a good job of patrolling, and they have lots of programs that will help you if you need it. Still a very prevalent presence on campus.

The only drug use I normally see on campus are people who smoke. I've heard that drinking is a popular activity at parties

Drugs and alcohol are always available to almost anyone, including underage students.

Trouble is easy to find anywhere, if you're looking for it. SMU has excellent resources to help students make positive choices that do not include drugs and alcohol.

We are trained to notice anomolies. Drugs and alochol are actually less of a problem now than ever before, but because we are seeing something that sticks out, that is what we remember. I would say that the Drugs and alchol scene is one that can easily be avoided. As a senior, I have never had an issue, nor have my closest friends.
