Take a Virtual Tour of Campus

Schedule a Group Info Session or Interview

Call 1-800-323-0672 or (214) 768-2058 on any weekday from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., and on some select Saturdays from 9:30 a.m.–noon. The admission staff conducts tours regularly Monday–Friday every week, however, certain tours close until the fall semester (the Residence Hall tour). Check the Web site for specific days that feature a 10 a.m.–3 p.m. tour and an overnight tour.

Campus Tours

Tours are normally conducted every weekday, except for posted days and Mustang Mondays. The tours begin at 10 a.m., and the last tour is at 3 p.m. The day includes two information sessions, two campus tours, a residence hall tour, and lunch. Call to schedule a tour in advance.

Prospective Weekend

Prospective students have the chance to find out what it’s like to go to SMU for one night. They stay with an assigned student in a residence hall overnight, and tour the school the next day. This option is only available Sunday through Thursday evenings. Allow two week’s notice to the school if you would like to participate in this program. If you’re interested in getting to know the campus a bit better, call the Division of Enrollment Services at (214) 768-2058 to reserve a spot. Once you have received your acceptance packet, SMU will invite you to attend Mustang Days, where you have the chance to stay for an entire weekend and become better acquainted with the campus, the professors, the administrators, and students. By no means will these overnight visits give you complete insight into the school—so learn as much as you can in the minimal amount of time you have. Play twenty questions with your host, bring this book, and grill any students that have the time to talk with you.
