Most classes are easy to handle.

Could have more majors, but not bad.

Seems like there is always a shortage of computers available in the classroom.

All the people I have met are really nice and friendly. Great environment.

Southern State is not a bad college, I am just looking for the "full on college experience." Which is why, if I could go back, I would go to a bigger school and take summer classes here instead.

This college has very resonable hours. Most students here are adults who have decided to go back to school and get a degree, so most of them have a job and family to work around. These classes here are taught at a wide range of hours and through out different days of the week. There are no classes held on Sunday which makes it a great time to get caught up on homework. There are very little classes held on Saturday which also helps the homework process.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Southren State is a very cost effective college. It is actually one of the cheapest in the state, which is why I chose to go here. The cost is around 5,000 which may be alot still but it is cheap. There are many topics that are covered in this school but they only offer associates degrees. They are ,however, doing bridge programs, so you can get a B.A. in certian degrees now. The financial aid does have it's glitches but it is soild here. They are straigh forward with the cost and everything like that. After all it is their money and your money that they are dealing with.

I have just taken my first online course this semestor. I was a bit worried because I learn more hands on the best but it really hasnt been too bad. I do have a little more work that would go into it than a classroom class. I like that you can do the work when ever you want but I would also love having a teacher there to help me. You are in contact more with your fellow class mates with an online class and they do help you when you need it. You can also email your teacher and they would usually get back to you the next day and they are very helpful as well.

I love Southern State. The staff and teachers are wondeful. No matter what problem you may have, some one is always there to help. In this college it is not all about the number of students and how much money the college recieves, everyone cares about you and your future. the teachers are here to help you, not break you. After searching around I realized that this school with it's small class sizes, is where i wanted to go.

The main reason I chose this school was because of how flexible the class schedules are. I am able to work around my personal schedule, which is great. I attended another school before coming here but many of my credits didn't transfer, which is a bummer. But the convenience of my new school outweighs the non-transferrable credits.

I love it here. If you let your social life rule your academic life, then it could be trouble. You have to study here; it isn't all parties. I had a rough time before I came here. Three colleges later, I ended up at Auburn, where my heart told me to go.

After I graduated, I had trouble finding a job in my field. So naturally, I went to the Career Center for help, as it should still be an asset to me post-graduation. However, I was disappointed. I felt like a number, like I was swept under the rug after commencement. It's as if the school's sole focus is to find new fresh and happy faces for their prospective pamphlets.

The facilities on campus aren't bad. There's a gym and a brand-new auditorium for theatre performances and other events. Even though it's not a campus students live on, it's definitely a comfortable campus to hang out at between classes, whether you're getting coffee at the student union or catching up on some reading at the library.

The computer network is always having problems. There's not a day that goes by where a professor doesn't excuse something being turned in late because of the network. While getting a pass like that is helpful, it's also pretty frustrating, not knowing whether your work will get there on time or not.

My school's co-op program has provided me with work experience that is much more impressive than any other college grads I know. Right now, while you are looking at schools, you may think that a fifth year or spending some of your summer at school is weird, but trust me, I would not change anything in my program! Plus, being in Boston allows hands-on learning at museums, planetariums, and other cultural attractions.

not really a lot of diversity in my school.

Going to this school has been very convienient for me, it is in the town that I live in. The classes work right around my schedule. I never had to transfer credits.

I never took an online course.

The computer network isn't bad at all. The internet is usually pretty fast.

The small-town-feel of the college I attend expands into the classrooms. The professors really care for their students and enjoy their jobs. This makes a huge difference in your ability to learn. I love having professors who are willing to go the extra mile for their students.

I have had a lot of great experiences at the college I attend. Academically I have no complaints. I have learned a great deal from my professors.
College Junior 2013-08-24T04:28:37Z
The only complaint I have is the on-campus gym. It is not very accommodating and way too small.
College Junior 2013-08-24T04:26:20Z
The professors are very attentive to their students and truly enjoy teaching.
College Senior 2013-07-30T02:39:30Z
I think with what is available and it being a community college everything is great
College Junior 2013-03-15T06:22:31Z
I would say that my professors are pretty involved and are available for the students whenever you need them. It is a small college and it is easier for them to be able to do that.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
