The locale town is small but Lexington is 10 minutes away and has plenty of stuff to do. There are also different attractions around that you can visit. We don't interact with the other two universities nearby mainly because they're military and most of them can't leave campus without permission.

There is a limited amount of things to do if you don't own a car.

Buena Vista is full of character and quirks. Since it is a small town of only 6000 people and 3 curmudgeons there isn't a lot of modern recreational activities so you have to be creating when coming up with a date idea. or you could just drive to Lexington home of VMI and Washington and Lee university to get your entertainment. personally I enjoy the little things like the charm of the hole-in-the-wall restaurants such as blue dog art cafe. the people are friendly if a little guarded but once they warm up to you they'll do anything to make you feel like family.

Blue Ridge – The town of Buena Vista, Virginia is a very beautiful one. The towns people are very nice and friendly and the scenery is breath taking. However, since it is a small town, there isn't a whole lot to do.

Outdoors, History, and DC – Buena Vista is in the Shenandoah Valley, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. With its mild climate, there is no better location for outdoor activities. Lexington is a town of about 10,000 and is ten minutes away and has two universities, the state of Virginia is laden with history, and Washington DC is a three hour drive.
