The town of Bolivar is pretty boring. There isn't much to do here. There are some pretty shady neighborhoods here too. But Springfield isn't far away so if you're looking for something to do, that's a good option to consider.

Bolivar a small, rural town, mostly devoid of excitement or interesting attractions.

Small Town, Kind People – Bolivar is a small town that has little activities for the community but it does have kind people who love to spend time together as a whole community. Bolivar is 30 minutes from Springfield which has plenty for college students to involve themselves in.

Small Town Charm – I grew up around St. Louis so going to SBU in Bolivar is very strange for me. There are no places other than Wal-Mart to really shop and there are just a couple places to hang out. I really don't venture out into town unless I have to, but I would still prefer the option of going somewhere.

Lots to Do in Springfield – I go to the SBU/St. John's Nursing College, it is a small school with a wide selection of classes. Springfield have many things to do and see, lots of parks and nature abound. The city is safe, lots of sports opportunities. Springfield overall has a good attitude toward students.
