Worth the Effort

The office of financial aid and all of the admission staff are incredibly understanding and helpful. They really want to help and offer as many opportunities as possible. I think a lot of students, regardless of school, wish scholarships would just be handed to them and complain about applying to scholarships.

Also, a scholarship of $500 is seen to be not worth that much, but if it takes an hour to apply or write an essay, you're technically getting paid $500/hour. You have to look and be willing to put at least a little bit of work, and it's definitely worth it.

Good Support

Southwestern provides a lot of financial aid to their students, but it's hard to get funding as a transfer student.
