Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Spelman students generally embrace both the good and the bad elements of their college experience and emerge with a positive overall view. The sisterhood, challenges, and nurturing environment are aspects of their time at Spelman that they cherish the most. Many express a love for Spelman that one could conclude transcends the educational experience and speaks more to a bond formed with the institution, the faculty, and their peers. Spelman is definitely a small school, so there are a few students who may feel like they missed out on the advantages of a big, coed, institution. For others, they like the fact that they had the access to the other campuses of the Atlanta University Center but were always able to return to the gates of Spelman. Spelman is seen as a journey into womanhood for many young ladies. It is also an opportunity for many students to meet other women of color like themselves, for the first time in their lives. As was mentioned in the Diversity section, Spelman brings together a plethora of women who might not otherwise have met or ever discovered the common bonds they share despite their different upbringings and backgrounds. Academically, Spelman ranks high and has been recognized in the media for producing successful women who go on to be recognized in all fields of study, industry, and business.

Not Bad

You wont really find drugs or drug use out in the open. Ofcourse they do exist, especially on party nights, but it would be hard to prove.
