  • Alumnae Achievement Awards: An invitation-only breakfast at Tiffany & Co. during which alumnae are honored in the areas of arts and media, business and law, civic service, education, and health and sciences
  • Homecoming is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year. Highlights of the weekend include the coronation of Ms. Spelman and her court and other activities like celebrity concerts, the step show, the Morehouse football game, and parties!
  • Reunion: During graduation weekend in May, Spelman alumnae return to campus for Reunion Weekend. Everyone is invited to attend, and there are generally class-specific activities, seminars, a luncheon, and a banquet for all to attend.
Alumni Services
  • The Alumnae-Student Exchange creates an avenue for alumnae to share tips on careers and leadership.
  • AUCAlumni.com is an site created by alumni and friends of the Atlanta University Center, including Spelman. Here you can read about notable alumni, find out about events, and also search jobs.
  • The NAASC supports chapters in major cities across the country. The chapters spearhead fundraisers in local areas for scholarships and provide a local network of Spelman alumnae so that women may continue to celebrate the sisterhood outside of the gates.
  • The SpelAgent Program allows alumnae to assist with fundraising, reunion planning and donor identification.
  • There is an Alumnae Career Network and groups for alumnae that focus on Homecoming, Founders Day, and Reunion.

  • Varnette Honeywood (Class of '72) – artist and creator of the Little Bill character in the book series written by Bill Cosby
  • Kathleen McGee-Anderson (Class of '72) – television producer and playwright, consulting producer for Showtime TV series "Soul Food"
  • Iris Little Thomas (Class of '79) – actress seen in "Everyday People" and "Boycott"
  • Shaun Robinson (Class of '80) – actress and correspondent for "Access Hollywood"
