Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) is a great school for commuters or for those who just want the basic education and to then be done. Overall, SFCC has its positive and negative elements, just like any school, but it has many problems in the counseling and financial aid departments; these offices are anything but seamless, nor are they easy to get what you need with an initial quick-visit contact. While resolving any issues regarding your academics, be prepared to be inconvenienced. The school provides little support to students in most every way, as the College isn't very helpful as a guiding force in students' career search. Instead, the responsibility is mostly on the student.

There are people who have had a successful experience at this school, and others that have not; it differs based on how well the student is proactive in his or her own education and learning. The College has a reputation for being the first stop for high school graduates or for those seeking a certification in a particular program. Like any school, make sure that you have a very detailed plan of what you want to do with your education so that you can remain focused on your goal while attending SFCC.
