Seems like a lot of money goes towards athletes or A students. If you were a B student in high school but didn't score well on SATs, you're kind of out of luck. Even if you do great once you get there, they don't give you any additional award money.

I'm studying Therapeutic Horsemanship and actually declared my major early, as a freshman. No real special process but did have to discuss it with the director of the program.

Very popular. Seems like everyone here is either an athlete or an equestrian. Webpage keeps us up to date on the performance.

There are very few schools that offer a bacelors in TH and the program here is extensive and thorough.

I don't drive but the parking doesn't seem too bad

Public transportation is really great and the shuttles on campus really help get to class omn time.

Security pretends like they are the greatest; however they do nothing but ride around in their carts. They even attend parties and watch the underage drinking and do nothing. The RA's are more strict when it comes to drinking in the dorms.

I received a decent amount of financial aid that helped make my decision to attend the University. Always apply for more scholarships, the school can only do so much and they have to help hundreds more than just you. For the tuition price of the University the amount of financial aid should be increased because most students there are athletes and this is the only way they are able to go to college.

All the dorms are mainly the same, however one dorm is a tad better than the rest. That dorm is only for upperclassmen and a few thousand dollars extra. All the dorms need to be updated, and refurbished. Freshmen do live in separate dorms compared to everyone else; girls in one dorm and freshmen guys in another. The inside cleanliness of the dorm depends on whom you live with, the cleaning ladies can only do so much.

At St. Andrews University there is many computers labs available to the students. There are plenty of computers in the labs and they are of high quality. The Labs are very beneficial for people wanting to print any papers they need. That is mostly what they are used for.
College Sophomore 2013-06-22T03:05:55Z
There is no nightlife present around the school. There is mainly just hanging around campus and in the dorms that is the only night life present. In order to have nightlife you would have to drive about 45 minutes away which is not beneficial.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt the need to worry or be afraid on St. Andrews campus. Campus security patrols regularly especially at night which is very reassuring. They are very strict on safety rules and consistent.

Drugs are readily available, but not cheap and sometimes of poor quality.

There is a few busses, though no schedules are posted at the stops.
Connection to major cities is decent, except for late at night and on Sundays.
Cost seems fair enough.

Unsure. But I believe there is some kind of on campus requirement but may be for freshmen (which I am).

Not a huge scene, definitely avoidable, but still existent
College Junior 2013-01-14T21:45:12Z
Some people participate but there's no school spirit

Huge equestrian program and there is even a barn down the street from campus. Major emphasis on Therapeutic Horsemanship and Business programs. The professors are willing to help anytime and are every flexible for the student. It is college so there is more homework than high school, it is not that easy to just get by anymore. Remember, this is preparing you for your job!

There are not hard core drugs at the school. Depending on the people one is around they are usually smoking. Not a big drug school, people prefer to drink.
College Junior 2013-01-01T02:04:49Z
All the parties happen right on campus. Everyone drinks no matter the age and they have parties every weekend. Loud music and drunk people no matter the hour. Also one can go to the bamboo forest and have a bonfire and drink there.

Some goes on, mostly pot. Alcohol is available if you are really interested
College Sophomore 2012-12-31T01:29:14Z
Therapeutic Horsemanship. Not many schools offer a bachelors. Beautiful equestrian center. Great horses. Classes are interesting.
College Sophomore 2012-12-31T01:27:23Z
Great Therapeutic Horsemanship Program with a beautiful equestrain center. Required freshman math class prof could care less and includes topics on exams not covered. Has a no make up test policy no matter what, which stinks

St. Andrew's University is one of the only colleges in North Carolina that has a Forensic Science Program. St. Andrew's University make sure all of the students are able to succeed in their academic studies.
