I am not aware of any animosity toward a Greek or non-Greek student or family.

I do not live close to campus, but I see that there are many options to live in close proximity of campus.

Very busy location in the vicinity of two other universities, neighborhoods, and shops. Parking is awful just because all of it is on the streets. Area can get pretty crowded even for walkers due to the busy traffic and campus life.

I rated the above questions barely noticeable because I have not noticed any use of drugs and alcohol on campus. Needless to say, people may still use either or both. It is not permitted on campus.

The food option is good. The dining room is fairly well spaced with lots of tables. I have not seen it being overcrowded, yet anyways, so there are plenty of room for the student and staff. There is only one dining hall on campus and it is settled between the classrooms and dorm buildings. The variety has been good; there are a range of soup and salad to wraps, grilled food, fruits, and sushi. The menu changes daily. The price is fair, I suppose. I have class once a week and eat there maybe twice a month.

My major is busy but have learned a lot and feel that just completing the first semester have increased my knowledge in nursing. The best part of the program will be to implement what I have learned in the classroom into the clinical setting in the coming semesters.

Like any college and university, it takes work to get registered/accepted into a good college. I selected St. Kate's because of its good reputation from other alumni. I have not really looked into the other programs they offer.

I have class at 11:30am so I know that all of the "good parking" spots will be taken by then. Sometimes I get lucky and find a spot next to the building my classes are in. Most of the time, I park about a fourth of a mile (it feels that way) in the main event parking lot and walk. It seems longer on colder days and not so bad on warm days.

I do not live on campus therefore I don't know how strict their rules are. But, I know that student permit parking is strict so I think and hope that the issues listed above are more strictly enforced.

Unfortunately I have not attended any sports event. I have walked by a few volleyball games in the gym, but my limited time does not call for involvement right now. I know sport is important for those involved and some are scholarship bound too. As long as grades are kept up and maintained, I have no issue with it.

I applied and got denied. Doing loans right now.

This is Minnesota; it's cold and warm as it pleases. The campus does a great job with plowing the sidewalks and parking lots.

The majority of students in my class are caucasians ( as the general term), and there are one Asian (myself) and two African students. The economic, social, political, sexual orientation backgrounds are not discussed in our circle of friends/classmates.

The only transportation I have seen available is the public bus which I do not take and so I am not able to rate its operations. I do see many students get dropped off right in front of campus which is great in terms of safety and temperature. The weather is freezing and unpredictable in the midwest here at times.

I am a busy wife and mother in pursuit of a better career, I do not attend any of the bar/clubs at all.

The school is located close to downtown of St. Paul and in a higher upper class neighborhood, therefore the food and supplies are in the high range for us middle class anyways. Especially going to grad school, extra spending cash is almost none. But, lots of variety of different ethnic restaurants, pastry shops, coffee shops, crafts, whole food supermarket, and two other colleges around there.
College Senior 2013-12-12T15:44:04Z
The school has an open area for use of computers as well as a classroom setting and another room (opened door) for student use. The network is okay, meaning that there are downtimes but seem to resolved quickly and students are notified of them ahead of time. Wireless is accessable in all of the classrooms that I have been anyways and the connection is fine. The only place to print is in the library that is most reliable. There is a printer in the student and staff lounge in the building where my classes are, but it is very slow and the computer freezes a lot of the time.

One thing that I can be proud of St. Kate's is that we are a very diverse population. I believe that our school community value diversity. Since we are an all girls school we do respect people's sexual orientation and we are a community that accepts it. If anything, I wish other schools and colleges were more welcoming and diverse as ours.

We are right by St. Thomas and MAC but we do not associate a lot with them. We have the ACTC bus and all but I wish we did more events with them because we are an all girls college. Sometimes there will be ACTC students on campus but we don't interact much and they don't really know much about our campus.
College Senior 2013-10-29T17:18:08Z
There isn't a lot of parties, bars and nightlife at St. Kate's. I'm pretty sure you can find a little bar or something around the area but I'm not familiar with any. I wish that we did provide shuttles and buses to students though just so our students can come back safely from a night of drinking. The best way to get off of campus is to have a designated driver or to call a cab.
College Senior 2013-10-29T17:16:17Z
I can't really rate off campus housing because I have no idea where I can even find anything. The school doesn't help student find off-campus housing probably because they want most students to stay home campus. I also do not know many people who lives off-campus at an apartment that is close to campus.
College Senior 2013-10-29T17:14:56Z
There aren't a lot of spots for people to study especially commuters. The CDC is pretty much empty once it's dark outside. The recreation center is okay, but I think they could expand it more. The library can be kind of creepy but they have small spots for people to study but it's not opened for long. We have a student center but I barely know what it is. I've seen it before but they don't really reach out to the student community.

I definitely HATE the dining services on campus. I mean yeah, sometimes they have healthy options such as fruits or a salad bar but they do a horrible job at keeping things fresh. The greens and veggies at the salad bar are all dead, fruits seems like they've been sitting out for a while and the rest of the food they have are just plain greasy! Also, the dining room closes at certain hours while the Pulse opens up. But it gets so busy at the Pulse that commuters like me who has to catch the shuttle, have to wait 15 mins just to buy an already made sandwich.
College Senior 2013-10-29T17:10:06Z
There's not much off-campus but Jimmy Johns an Cleveland Wok is pretty popular. There's also a Menchie's here too that a lot of people go to. I haven't really explored the off campus dining but I know at night it gets pretty busy. I can't say that it's bad but I can't also say that it's good.

Guys & Girls:
St. Kate's is an all women's college so we don't get to see any guys very much. You would think that the girl on campus are very "catty" or gossip a lot but they are quite friendly and easy to get a long with! I love how friendly our campus is, even if you don't know a person and they walk past you, it's normal to give a smile or say hi. There isn't a lot of parties on campus but sometimes there will be small events such as movies and stuff.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
