The academic flexibility of my school, in my opinion, is very good. You can usually find the class you need to take that will fit right into your schedule without having to move too many things around. Although there are a few classes that are only given at one specific time, but that"s because there is a very small amount of students interested in that class.

Most of the faculty are pretty helpful and approachable, and are understanding of personal hassles. In regards to assignments and test-taking, a few will provide a grace period if it's needed, or allow someone to sit in on another class section if there's a scheduling conflict. Some of the profs can be tough nuts , and a few have grated at my nerves, but overall it's a good school, and the credits transfer nicely.

At SC4 I have been able to schedule all of my classes easily while keeping them all within two days so I don't have to take multiple drives a week just for one session. They have been willing to even put me into classes most people would not be able to jump right into based on my past grades and ACT scores.

When I started this college I was able to transfer credits for classes that were prerequisites for my degree and had no problem. The adviser told me which classes would transfer and set up a schedule for the remaining classes I needed to take for my degree. The only downfall for this school is the limited class space for nursing required classes. If you have a nursing class that you need to register for you need to be up early and register. And always sign up for the class even if you have to go on a wait list. There are people that will drop their class and you will get in.

The professors usually hand out a syllabus but always make it clear that the dates are never set in stone. They want to be sure that they are moving at an appropriate pace for that individual class. If you are going to miss class, they are also fairly willing to let you know what you need to to do catch up.
