Despite St. Edward's status as a relatively small school, the student body is rather diverse. However, based on looks alone, there are a few stereotypes that people tend to fall into—there are a lot of preppy guys, hipsters, foreign guys in button-ups, and the archetypal jock and nerdy types. But, most of the guys here assimilate into the crowd pretty easily with the typical college student look of a T-shirt (usually blue, grey, or brown), jeans, and some nondescript tennis shoes or flip-flops. Girls on campus generally fall into two categories: those who wear Nike gym shorts to class, and those who look like they shop at Urban Outfitters. Overall, though, it's a pretty attractive campus.
The school isn't so small that everyone knows one another well, but it is small enough for students to recognize almost everyone after a semester or two. So, if someone talks about you to a friend who's never met you, if their descriptive powers are honed well enough, there's a pretty good chance the other person will figure out who you are almost immediately. Promiscuity or chastity depends entirely on one's social group and beliefs, but the school's overall atmosphere is surprisingly liberal.
