Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The on-campus housing rooms are nice, and they have a lot of recreation accommodations within the dormitories. The best thing about the dorms is that every room has one or two bathrooms that only have to be shared by a few people, so instead of competing with 30 or 40 students for a shower, you only have to work with eight or nine. Residents can even control their own heating and air conditioning.

The two main problems with on-campus housing are getting the room you requested and actually getting a room at all. Upperclassmen compete for housing using a point system that is based on GPA and judicial infractions as well as class standing. Those with low grades or many judicial infractions may not be able to live on campus. Also, many students who request a single will get a double, and those that request a double will most likely get a triple.

Campus Dorming .. Only for Freshman

As a freshman I think living on campus is okay for the sake of experience , but after that I don't recommend it because the cost will increase and the campus is more based toward incoming freshman

Dorms from the View of a Commuter

I commute to school 3 days a week, and most of my closer friends dorm at school. They all have really nice dorms. Most of the buildings are all different from each other, so usually each building has their own living styles. I enjoy going to see my friends in their dorms, they are all clean and usually everyone on the floor knows each other and spends time together.

Pretty Great Housing

The freshmen dorms are HUGE. I was expecting to be all cramped up but nah. These rooms are big. Three twin beds, three desks with three chairs, three pieces of furniture for clothes, and a closet. In my room we took down the bunk bed and have our three beds as single and there's still a lot of room. For freshmen I most definitely recommend St. Vincent's Hall.
