Best Things

  2. Manhattan is just a short trip away.
  3. The school supports a large number of student organizations.
  4. New York has a great system of transportation.
  5. The food at the Law School is spectacular.
  6. Cheering for the basketball and soccer teams is always fun.
  7. A degree with the name St. John's on it is a heavy piece of paper. People rarely overlook an SJU diploma. The name can take you places.
  8. Living in New York puts you right at the forefront of so many events. It's a world center.
  9. Even if the parties on campus aren't that great, there's always Hofstra not that far away.
  10. The students make the days unforgettable.

Worst Things

  1. Tuition is high and it keeps going up.
  2. The cost of room and board is high, and it keeps going up.
  3. Sometimes financial aid just isn't there for those who need it.
  4. On-campus housing doesn't offer enough places for students.
  5. The computer labs are slow and sometimes packed.
  6. Parking in Queens can be one awful mess.
  7. Living in a big city can get to be overwhelming.
  8. Finding a place to live off campus can be difficult and frustrating if you don't act extremely early.
  9. The high school kids that go to school near SJU are so annoying.
  10. Public Safety is at times too lax, at times too strict.
