Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

St. Mary's looks like it's going to be a boring campus in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do for fun. But most students find that this impression is wrong once they stay on campus for a bit and meet everyone. The friendly students and faculty make St. Mary's a warm and inviting place where everyone feels right at home. Students enjoy hanging out by the water or lazing around on the grass, taking a stroll through Historic St. Mary's City, and going swimming down by The Point. While enjoying what is supposedly the best four years of their lives, students receive a quality education that will take them further in life than they ever imagined. Graduating students are excited for their futures to unfold but also regretful that they must leave St. Mary's, a place lovingly called "home" for so long.

St. Mary's facilitates learning through incredible faculty, amazing course offerings, and a general atmosphere that broadens horizons and fosters growth within students. Students who attend St. Mary's arrive as children and leave as adults, having been given the opportunity to experience new things and learn so much through these experiences.

Small School With Little Diversity

St. Mary's is not what anybody will call a diverse school. You do have some races and religions represented but definitely very few. It is also not very diverse in regard to representation from different states or countries. Most students are from the east coast and the foreigners are just those coming to the school because of the sailing team which is one of the best in the US.

Not Too Many Offerings and Far from Campus

At St. Mary's it makes really no sense to live off campus. The college is not located that close to the city and the city itself is a small one. Better is to live on campus.
