Student Parking Lot?

Parking is available for students, but sometimes it gets difficult. Every place on campus has a certain type of permit. Usually, students buy a permit that fits the parking lot next to their dorm. After 6 p.m., almost all of the parking on campus is free and requires no permit.

Getting a Parking Permit
Parking permits are available to all undergrads except freshmen. Residents can purchase permits for the lot closest to their residence hall; commuters cannot get residence hall permits, but they have a lot more options in other campus lots.

While many students have cars on campus, Stanford is mostly a biking campus. Sometimes it is more convenient to bike around campus than to drive. Parking is always crowded, and it is hard to find parking spaces.
