Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Call the Office of Undergraduate Admission to make a reservation, at (650) 723-2091. Stanford does not do interviews of any sort for undergraduate admission.

Campus Tours

Free tours are available twice a day, seven days a week. Tours depart from the Stanford Visitor Center in Memorial Auditorium at 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Tours are offered year-round, except during the winter holiday break and certain holidays. For more information, call (650) 723-2560 or e-mail visitorinfo@stanford.edu.

Overnight Visits

Stanford does not provide formal overnight visits for prospective applicants, except in the case of athletic or diversity recruitment (if you have friends or family who attend the University, you can definitely come and visit them to get a sense of the school). However, if you are admitted to Stanford, you can, and should, come to Admit Weekend in mid-April. About 800 prospective freshmen (ProFros) come to Admit Weekend to check out Stanford and stay in the dorms from Thursday to Sunday. Keep in mind: this is Stanford’s way to convince you to come to the school, and most people will be trying hard to make the place seem perfect. Still, you will have a great time and get a good feel of the campus in order to make your final college decision.

Did You Know? Stanford is home to one of the most beautiful churches in California, and each year, there are hundreds of wedding ceremonies. This does not include the number of people who come to campus just to take engagement, wedding, prom, and quinceañera pictures. So as you bike to your next class, watch out! It's possible that you might be the surprise in the next photo shoot.
