We need a better athletic facility. If it were more up to date and had a weight room I think a lot more of the athletes would be happier.

Transportation at school is not really needed. Campus is all in one place and it's not spaced out.
College Sophomore 2013-11-15T00:22:32Z
Diversity on campus is okay.

Living on campus in the dorms is fun but the room are kind of small if you're sharing your room. If you live in the apartments offered by Stephens, then living on campus is great!

Local weather does not affect my campus experience at all. I'm use to living in Missouri.

The food on campus has a variety the students can choose from. The dinning hall serves three time a day with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menus are listen on the schools website and the students can request special types of food if they have any medical problems. There is a grill bar where students can sign a slip of paper to order a meal of their choice, also there is a salad bar and fruit bar. Flex dollars are on the students ID and it can be spent on the school store that has supplies and Stephens souvenirs, you can also use your flex dollars at the Stephens cafe.

The transportation at Stephens is good, our security office will provide staffs that can transport students to places like grocery stores or if there is an emergency it is recommended to call 911, but they will take you to the hospital. There are certain days in the week that there is transportation.

The off-campus housing selection at our school is not really popular. Most students live on campus and the ones that do not lives at home with their parents. There are several apartments and a couple of houses you can purchase if you do not want to live on campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-13T02:37:44Z
The off campus dinning options near Stephens are open to any types of eaters. The cost depends on the place and students do get discounts depending on the place also. Stephens students get coupon books with several discounts from different restaurants and boutiques around town . The best places to check out are Shakespears Pizza the best pizzas in town and Jingles a Chinese restaurant.

There has not been any drug issues at the school so far, if there is any savier consequences will take place. Alcohol at Stephens is also not a problem, its very simple if you are not 21 than you can not drink any alcohol. Peer pressure I am sure there is some because after all it is college, but overall it is not a big problem here. Policy enforcement is very serious here at Stephens and if you are caught you will go to Stephens court and stand in front of the committee and can get suspended or even kicked out.

Guys & Girls:
Well since Stephens is only a girl school, we have a lot in common and go through similar situations. Everyone here has their own unique style and it is always exiting to see what you can find people wearing around campus. The girls at Stephens are very smart and dedicated to their education, I mean our slogan is educating women who will go somewhere. Social life is good there are many personalities so you will find the right group or person to hang out with.

Student life on campus is pretty good as far as the buildings and many places to hang out in. The student union is open to all students on campus, you can play games watch movies even work out in our gym. There are several athletic centers, and the library is huge so you can find many resources along with help from the staff. At Stephens we can also go to the University of Missouri library and they can come to Stephens. Stephens has plenty of gardens and quiet places to relax or to just think. There are always events going on, on campus all the time from movie nights at our very own Stephens president house to salsa night and dances. There are numerous of activities to do or you can join clubs or organizations, like the student government or Warehouse Theater group.

The athletics at Stephens take their sport very serious and most wants to go pro with it. Depending on the sport the team is very close and have a well set goal for the entire year. A lot of fans come and support the games, like basketball, volleyball, and soccer. We even have a sprite squad to support the sports teams here on campus. The athletic facilities are in good shape and some are even getting repaired.

The Greek life at Stephens is normal, the members act like themselves their nice and respect other sorties. They have a sister-hood bond that is very special to them. The Greek students are viewed by the non-Greeks like anyone else they are really no different. The Greeks have their own wings in several of the dorm buildings.

The nightlife is pretty entertaining, on campus and off. On campus we have a student union you can go hang out in, downtown which is right outside of campus has many bars, clubs, and restaurants. There is also the Missouri Theater with many plays and dance performance that takes place. There are many different types of transpiration systems, like the cities bus that goes around the whole city there's even a couple of taxies. Stephens has its own transportation system that can take you to grocery stores a couple of days of the week.

The progress was very good and satisfying I knew exactly what I wanted to do and they put me in it. The only difficulty was trying to get more money to attend Stephens, you have to stand out on your essay, show them you deserve to be at Stephens. The most important criteria is to show that you are looking to succeed and you have worked very hard to get ere your at and you just want to continue to do do. Any tips, just be yourself and show them what you got to offer to the school.

I have not have an internship yet, but here at Stephens they actually require you to go to an internship at least once. You would have to take a class for it first though. Yes of course I do plan to have one, actually each year I plan to. The more internships I have the better my resume will be, and the more experience in my field I will have. I do have concerns but we have an amazing career department to help me search for one that will fit perfectly for me.

My process was good they gave me a good amount, but it was not enough so I had to write a letter to the financial aid committee to ask for more money or I would not be able tot come to Stephens and they did give me more. I do owe some money and I recommend just apply for many scholarships so you wont have to struggle like myself right now trying to pay the remaining balance I have on my tuition. To get financial aid at my school the best thing is to get good grades and be recognized by the faculty and staffs, especially in the financial aid office.

Living on campus here at Stephens is awesome you can have a roommate or suite mates or even choose to room by yourself. Less expensive is Searcy Hall, a pet friendly dorm building at Stephens. Pillsbury is where all freshmen's tend to stay and tower also. The social atmosphere is great majority of the people are nice and outgoing. There are certain Halls that are more pricey but you have a choice based on what you can afford. The best I would say for me Searcy because it is pet friendly so is Tower but Searcy also have many activities for us living there. The housing process goes from seniors chose first than juniors than sophomores and what ever is left freshmen's can choose from.

The parking situation is good, you just have to follow a certain rule especially if you are a visitor there is a limits in the time on how long you can stay parked there. Also certain spots are only for Stephens students or faculties and staffs. You can get parking tickets if any of the rules like parking in reserved areas or parking there for too long you will get a ticket if you are a visitor. A student must have a pass on their window shield indicating they are a student here and this is their vehicle. The parking space are usually very full during the day throughout the week but in the weekends you will defiantly find enough parking space and not have to to search for one.

My overall experience at Stephens College has been good so far. Faculty and staff were very welcomed from day one and everyone here is very nice. I enjoy the small class sizes here and the many activities/organizations and sports you can choose to be in. My favorite experience was meeting new people from all over the country. Stephens College is a very unique school, because you can be unique and not feel any pressure into being anyone you do not want to be. Us women at Stephens are also very dedicated to our education and helping others succeed as well. I would choose Stephens all over again, just because of its nice and peaceful atmosphere. When you are here you could feel yourself surrounded by professors who is giving their best to help you live your dreams, and the students are so passionate about what they want to do. Overall you just feel good about yourself and know that you are capable in achieving.

well when it is too hot you don't want to stay out too long. when it gets cold and windy you don't want to go outside, and it has been raining a lot in the fall so you have to cover up so you won't get wet. So depending on the weather it usually just makes you not want to get out of bed to go to class.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
