there are several colleges in Columbia, so there is much to do. Downtown is always buzzing with activity, there are many shops where students hang out and sometimes there will be concerts for students to attend. If you can't find something to do on campus you are welcome at other campuses. the three major universities are in close proximity to each other and have an agreements where a student from one of the other two can participate in clubs and activities of the university. You can always find something to do.

Mostly White

Majority of students are white or Caucasian. there are a few minorities, the largest of which are black or African American students. While diversity is not great, the acceptance of diverse students is. the few minorities that are in school can fit in well and there is no discrimination.

While There Are Rules, There Is Freedom

The college is not very strict. Rules are strictly in place and if the offense is great then there will of course be consequences, however campus security is very chill about how they do things. the Security people are really friendly and approachable. they are committed to their jobs and will help the students when needed. If you are out with friends and you get drunk, they will come pick you up and take you back to campus.
