Campus Strictness

Quick Stats

Students Are Most Likely to Get Caught...
  • Drinking underage
  • Making too much noise in the dorm
  • Parking illegally
  • Setting off a fire alarm

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The strictness on campus always involves the dorms and parking. With parking on campus, tickets can be awarded for just about anything from speeding to parking in the wrong spots. Because parking is limited, students tend to park in public spaces as a last resort and ultimately get tickets. That same strictness rolls over into the dorms, where visitation hours are implemented. The visitation hours seem almost parent-like if not prison-like. The worst implementer of these visitation hours is Conrad Hall where visitation hours are only until 12:30 a.m. The problem is that most students need to stay up until 2–3 a.m. to study with classmates. Luckily, that is the worst, and it gets far better in the other dormitories, especially in Stetson Hall. Another issue of strictness is the alcohol policy. The policy states that you can only have so much of certain alcoholic beverages. This is limited to only beer, wine, and wine coolers. Be careful if you are underage because you can get in trouble if you are in the mere presence of drinking.

Chill but Safe

So, basically, all the P-Safe care about is keeping everyone safe. Sure they like to enforce every rule, but they are lenient on things that don't put others or yourself in danger. If you aren't being blatant about doing stupid or illegal stuff, you won't get caught. But you are always safe. There are emergency poles all over campus that P-Safe constantly patrol in their little golf carts and give you rides too. They are friendly and respectful, most of all safe!

Honor Council Is Strict

There's no flexibility that comes with violating the honor council's rules. I have heard of students having to testify their case for something they didn't do and they were not respected or understood because of a conflict of knowledge between different schools in the university.

Strictness

if your gpa drops below a certain average you can be put on academic probation and the polices for underage drinking are very strict but its a good thing.
