The campus itself is fairly good on keeping drugs to a minimum. There is not too much of anything hard like cocaine, heroin, or anything remotely that strong. However, that isn’t to say that it is not on campus. Most of the drugs on campus are pretty much just marijuana. Most substance abuse that happens on campus is only noticeable if you involve yourself with it. This isn’t to say that you have to be a user to see it. If you have friends or acquaintances that use drugs, then you will be around that atmosphere. Most people will find that they can easily distance themselves from these substances. On the contrary, the alcohol situation can be troublesome. Underage drinking is very prevalent at Stetson University. The administration does deal with that alcohol problem accordingly when students are caught drinking. The most important things to keep in mind are: Be responsible, know who you’re with, and if you don’t feel comfortable in a situation, just walk away.

I haven’t seen a problem... I haven’t seen a problem with drugs on campus, but there is a lot of alcohol. Even though there are restrictions on campus, the alcohol is still here. The one problem is that a lot of students don’t know what they can handle.
