There is a wide variety of things happening on campus, created either by individual organizations or the school itself. At the beginning of freshman year, FOCUS, a group that welcomes new students and helps to integrate them into the student body, will take students out on trips, functions, and meetings. After that special introduction, it's typical for speakers to come to the auditorium at Elizabeth Hall Chapel, the Stetson Room, or the Lynn Business Center. Speakers often cover a range of topics like politics, diversity, business, or just general life experiences.
Concerts are held with performances ranging from well-known bands to local artists to those in the music school. Some past performers have included Busta Rhymes, Less Than Jake, and Zox. There are also plays, sporting events, and movies. The best way to keep track is to look for posters, banners, or the online event calendar. On the downside, there aren't any student bars, and the movies played are usually DVDs rented by organizations. In all, the facilities seem to meet the needs of the students, and the University does its best to make sure there is more than enough to do on campus.
