Geeky Greeks
I was the kind of person you would never think to join a sorority. I love Final Fantasy, memes, opera, Pokemon, a gay rights activist, feminist, and I listen to screamo. And, surprisingly, I'm a Greek! The Greeks here at Stetson are completely different than you'd expect. We drive the campus volunteering and head most organizations, but we never exclude people. It's not the stupid, clique-ish, judgmental group that I, and most of the world, thought it would be. Sure, you are going to get some of that, but that is everywhere. Stetson's small school means everyone is tight, Greek or not. But Greeks do stand out in academics, sports, and volunteer work. That's what drew me to my sorority, but in all reality you have to decide. I can tell you how awesome it is and how we love all the friends we "buy," but you really just need to see for yourself and go through recruitment or talk to some other girls/boys, you'll find out that they are all real, strong, and damn proud!
