Both guys and girls are sexual promiscuous, which is not surprising to anyone who knows what college is like. Both guys and girls, for the most part, do have sex. Some have sex to have sex, and others have sex because they are in a serious relationship. But for the most part, the student body is not looking at having anything casual. Remember that Stetson is a small campus, so just like in high school, rumors run rapid, and perceptions will be made based on the way you dress and act. For guys, I think there are plenty of girls around that vary in looks and personality. Although, gay men will have trouble finding a date or a relationship on campus since the openly gay population is small. For any guy, the best thing to do is to look around and see who is available. Just remember that it is better to try than not to try at all. Eventually, you will find someone. Girls will find the same situation as the guys, and it is also difficult for lesbians on campus. In some cases, the girls will have to ask out the guys, but that is subject to personal feelings about that matter. Girls will find that some guys are not necessarily looking for commitment. The best advice for the girls and guys on campus is to be realistic about expectations.

The guys and girls at my school believe they are better than everyone.The school has no diversity and racism is a big deal to a lot of us on campus.

There is low selection here, but don't get me wrong, there is a few diamonds in the rough. I would say most people are friendly. The people who are not are the DIGS (Delta Sigma Tau, stay away from them and you will do fine.

There is a ratio of 1:5 guys to girls. There are a lot more women on campus than men. For some that is great for others not so much. We are a very diverse school so no two people are the same. Relationships vary between people and usually you can find friends in every clique.

Social Scene

There are FOCUS groups, which are groups created at the beginning of fall semester to acclimate freshmen to college life, that have specific activities for new students to do. Stetson University is also very extroverted and welcomes most to campus.

Hookups or Relationships?

Most people are looking for serious relationships or just getting in one in general. Students don't seem very comfortable with keeping things casual.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

Generally any place on campus and the bars off campus are popular places to meet those of the opposite sex.

Dress Code

The way people dress is very casual with shorts, sandals, and tank tops. The only time that there is any need for formal wear is when a student is part of a fraternity or sorority. Occasionally, some classes require professional wear for presentations. The style on campus keeps up with the trends, and there is no one trend for the campus.
