I'm a Freshman this year. I am enjoying all of my classes and most of my professors are ok. Basically everyone here studies engineering.

There are only two Chemistry majors in my year, the chemistry is mostly the same curriculum as Chemical Biology except for a few exceptions. Undergraduates share classes with graduates, essentially the same level as graduate classes. There are not many extra courses. Some of the teachers are god, but a lot of them don't care. The adviser for the program is not very helpful.

Stevens has a strong academic reputation, and not without reason. It's a very old fashioned approach to teaching, which basically means you're going to get slammed with a ton of work until the information is crammed into your head. Some of the professors are sub-par, some are excellent, but thanks to the workload you'll always master the material by the end of the year. My only complaint is that some of the professors really need to go.

I am a Biomedical Engineering major at Stevens. The faculty in this department are very approachable and willing to help the students further their educational interests.

This is a great school. I came to Stevens because of the awesome Co-op program, which not only complements your learning in school but also gives you an edge for future job opportunities in your field. Whenever I talk to people in an engineering major from other local schools, it feels like Stevens is always a step forward in its curriculum. For example, engineering students are required to take design courses right when they enter their first semester. Engineering Freshman also take a Graphics course, which teaches them how to utilize a specialized engineering software called Solidworks, similar to AutoCad.
