I really do like many of the buildings on campus, such as the athletic center, the Howe administrative building, the dining hall, and most of the academic buildings. However, some are very clearly outdated, and need to be replaced. There is also no track nearby, which I was disappointed by.

The campus is beautiful, and as well as the weather permits it, there are always students milling around or relaxing on the grass studying or playing frisbee. There is a large library that is open until 2AM except during finals week where it is open 24 hours. Within the library there is a row of computers in the main room as well as a computer lab, and private rooms for small lessons or private study time. The Babbio Center and Debaun Auditorium are used for various events or club activities that are meant to liven up the campus or bring about more cultural experiences. There are two workout gyms as well as a basketball court and turf soccer field. Although there are many sports, Stevens does not have a football team.

Stevens has a great co-op program, especially since it is so close to the city.. Many companies that have offices in the city cooperate and make it easy for transportation. Stevens also has a graduate program, and even as an undergrad, you may take those courses. Stevens also has two design labs with machinery as well as a machine shop. There are multiple large lecture rooms and a beautiful auditorium that is used for various performances.

Stevens Institute of Technology has sufficient facilities such as a nice athletic center, decent library, and a pretty good amount of lawn space. The athletic center has most of the equipment to get a good workout in, but it is a little outdated, located in a pretty tight space, and there are usually a lot of people, not just students. Weehawken residents are allowed into the facility and I find myself sometimes waiting on the sides to use a machine. The varsity athletic center is very nice. The library is a great place to either go study or do group projects. If you want peace and quiet, the floors get quieter as you go up each floor. There are also rooms you can reserve for a very separate studying environment. There are so many activities to do on campus because of the many clubs. There is almost always some type of gathering every night, some that have free food and giveaways. Stevens is located in the middle of Hoboken and there are many restaurants and shops to explore. And being just a PATH ride or bus ride away from NYC there is always something to do.

Academic Environment Is Truly Unique – The Stevens campus is not only a picturesque landscape of beautiful greenery and architecture, but its location by the river truly adds to the campus beauty as well. The academic environment also sets the university apart from others with its innovative reputation of engineering courses and opportunities. Its wide variety of co-op programs really give students a more versatile, hands-on experience in the real world of their majors or career directions. Finally, campus life is not only diversified by the various fraternities and sororities, but this college also has a vast program of different clubs, sports, and activities to take part in that many other schools to not offer.
