The area is a little pricey, given that it is so close to New York City, however, off-campus housing is much less expensive than the alternative.

There are several options in Stevens off-campus housing; however, they are expensive. Despite the price, the apartments are really nice, and are spacious. Keep in mind, the Housing Office is starting to crack on the "no-furniture" rule, i.e. you can't bring in your own furniture.
There is a shuttle that takes a route from off-campus housing to campus and vice versa basically all during the day and into the night.

Beautiful but Far Away – There are two types of off-campus housing at Stevens: offered through the school or found by yourself. Either way, Hoboken is an expensive place to live, and off campus housing can be very far away from school. That said, Stevens gives gorgeous housing if you care to make the trek.

Go Greek If You Can – They recently changed the off-campus housing system at Stevens. Students now pay in installments of six months, instead of each semester and possible summer terms. This option can be more expensive, especially if you do not plan to live in off-campus housing during break periods. You are also not allowed to bring any of your own furniture which can be a real bummer. Finding off-campus housing without Stevens can be tough as well; it is expensive to live in Hoboken. If you can go greek, it is suggested that you live in the house. It can be a lot cheaper than living on and off campus.

Urban Community Housing – Stevens is surrounded by an old urban town of Hoboken. So mst of the building are older and small, but it is a nice neighborhood with shops and eating places, and fantastic public transportation access. Because Hoboken is so close to New York city, prices are pretty high and availability can be tough, but I have not heard of any students who could not find any housing.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
