I really wasn't able to use much of the campus resources because I was mainly using online. I saw they were out there but my main concern was the online.

They offered it but they didn't help you with getting resumes out. They had seminars, that talked about how to prepare an effective résumé but there was no employment avenues to send to.

I gave them this high grade because it was flexible attending class online while working. They also provided great help support if/when I needed help. They also were very helpful in transferring all my credits from a different college.

Business Administration is a very interesting cause because you exercise all different aspects of life. The curricular can bit of a challenge at times but it is well worth the challenge.

As far as the alumina network it's awesome I'm always receiving information on events and things that will benefit me in my career path.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I take online courses, and have been in school since 2009 each year my tuition goes up, and then there is a technology fee that continues to increase as well. Finally during my Junior year I receive a message stating that my tuition would not increase anymore. My reaction is yes that's because I've maxed out the limit. Currently I'm paying close to 4,000.00 a semester for two online classes, and I believe that is ridiculous.
College Junior 2013-08-09T16:31:12Z
the student body seems to be ok, I take online courses and communicate via web.
College Senior 2013-08-04T20:25:09Z
We have no wireless internet availability. Our Blackboard seems to crash every Sunday evening. The internet on campus is slow and lags at times. We are not allowed to bring a laptop to do our classwork in the Learning Resource Center.
College Senior 2013-08-04T20:22:07Z
We are only offered a a learning resource which is equivalent to a library with restricted hours. We have no access to wireless internet. When students are only in online classes there are no communications from the campus to include the students in campus news.
College Senior 2013-08-04T20:11:48Z
The entry level classes are offered on campus but the school seems to forget about you after they recruit you. You end up online because the classes you need are not offered for advanced classes. The professors are good except that the dean treats them like they are children. All professors must follow the syllabus and are not allowed to teach in the fashion they want, this restricts the education offered. Social Work is not offered, which I would be interested in taking.
College Senior 2013-08-04T19:34:07Z
There are no internship opportunities. Basic classes are offered on campus but student's advanced, core classes are never offered, so there is no choice but to take these harder classes online. There seems to be a high turnover rate of employees on our campus.

the student body diversity is great at my university. There is so many different ethnic groups that it allowed me to learn more about them. I was able to learn with these different ethnicity's that it made my learning more fun.

The professor in my university are excellent. They have helped me when I could not understand and also have taught much. When my books did not provide enough information my professors went out of their way to teach us and found material that would help us understand.
College Senior 2013-07-31T20:43:55Z
It is great because I am getting all the helpful information while being able to learn more about my major. I think the curriculum is great because it allows for me to take all the classes that do help me very much in life and career.
College Senior 2013-07-31T20:41:10Z
They really help you to intertwine with class mates since we do not attend a class we must communicate online which just as much helps with being able to communicate

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I have been on the dean's list for the past 2 years and I am currently unemployed yet I was passed over on a grant and they also could not find me any scholarships.

My classes are all online. The flexibility to get work completed with my personal and work schedule is great. Knowing that work needs to be completed by Sunday evening, I am able to plan out my week to get all my work completed and handed in on time. Discussion posts are also completed on several days, which makes replies more meaningful; allowing for a deeper understanding of any material that I many have some difficulty understanding.
College Sophomore 2013-07-29T02:39:05Z
The professors are easy to approach with any question and quickly respond. They are easy to talk to and understand the school/work/life balance can be hectic. They also offer a paper peer review to improve the papers that are required. It is done in a chat window so the suggestions are received immediately increasing the amount of time needed to make any changes.
College Sophomore 2013-07-29T02:33:23Z
My major is IT with a concentration in networking and a minor in programming. This is a new direction for me, and I have found the classes relatively easy to follow. Between the reading, papers, discussions posts, students, and professors, I have thoroughly understood each lesson and class.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid is worth the quality of education. It is easy to understand, and the business department is readily available for help and to answer any questions or concerns.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The people in this department try to be helpful, but lack in knowledge of military funding and VA funding. They don't even have a person that has any understanding of the programs, just a simplified basic knowledge of the programs available, which you can ascertain from the websites the military/VA offer you. If you have any questions they refer you back to the military/VA. They will also put your charges on to student loans and federal financial aid, instead of waiting for your VA funds to come through. There website gives you some information, but it is hard to understand, considering that they charge you way in advanced for the classes you are signed up for, then they credit your account, and then possibly charge it again. It makes it very hard to understand.

I am a Criminal Justice major and I am specializing in Computer Securities and Forensics. I am absolutely loving the coursework that involves my degree. I have had to take the normal general electives, but were able to try and link them up with classes that would benefit each other. For instance, humanities classes tend to be paper heavy and I was able to take other classes that weren't as paper heavy, but had similar topics in which I could use the information gleaned in discussion from one class to another. The teachers were also understanding in that not all of us were liberal arts majors and were genuinely interested in what we had to say about the liberal arts topics and discussions as it applied to our majors/jobs skills.

I did both online and on-campus classes. I prefer the on-campus classes due to the fact that the discussions are a lot easier in class and the teachers tend to join in more. However, online classes with this university are through Blackboard. With all technology there are bugs and issues, however the university has tried their best to provide ways to adjust fire when there is an outage or an error code in the programming. Besides using Blackboard, this university also has labs to go along with some of the courses, which not only give more details about the course and its learning objectives, but also helps to give a working knowledge base upon those items as well. Contacting the instructors on an online forum with this university may be challenging at times due to availability hours and different time zones, however it is no harder than any other online university. Plus this university takes it a step further and links you to a campus location, that way if you do have issues in communication with your teachers, the staff, to include the dean of the local campus, will get involved and help you as much as possible.

Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with full-time jobs or families. A lot of the student body is prior military or still in the military, but they often juggle many different roles in addition to being students. While they are happy to socialize and make friends, this is not a priority. Others may use the contacts that they have made to further their networking outside of college as well. They are getting an education so they can seek a different life or career, our furthering their current career. Once in awhile you will run into someone who started their college career with Strayer University, but it is very rare.
College Junior 2013-07-08T15:23:25Z
For the most part, the instructors are involved with the students and seem to be genuinely concerned with a student's progress. I've only had one instructor in which I didn't care for their style of teaching. I'm trying to be optimistic about the transfer of credits I'm earning to the institution I'm looking to attend in the future.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
