Staff members attempt to make the class registration process as simple and convenient as possible through early registration reminders via telephone or email, as well as reminders and confirmations of upcoming classes. The registration process is fairly easy; I am able to embark on the journey myself via telephone or on-line, or staff members will call to remind/confirm, as well as walk me through the process or provide advice and assistance when needed.

As a business major, classes are offered that will teach me, or enhance the skills needed to be successful. These classes are challenging, yet engaging. There is always opportunity to learn from others and seek additional assistance and insights from other students and staff members.

Great assistance and hands-on help and tutoring available along with extensive online/student resources. Strayer is unique in its willingness and ability to stay up-to-date with its students and call/email reminders about class registrations, etcetera.

I have had no problems with transferring my classes from a previous school to Strayer. I also had a lot of assistance when it came to applying for financial aid and scholarships. The one thing that I do not like is that the degrees that you can obtain from my campus is very slim. I felt like I had to settle for a degree that isn't my first choice.

The campus is small and not overly crowded. Everyone knows each other and its a comfortable environment to study and learn. By having a small campus, student do not feel the stress like a larger campus when it comes to talking to an adviser or financial aid officer.

The resources at my campus is very few. I am located where the campus is small so many features, like a cafeteria or gym, is not available. The library is entirely too small with a few books. I do like that although the campus is small, the computer lab is never crowded and there is never a wait to use any of the computers.

Although the workload was done at home and not in the traditionally classroom, the assignments were challenging to me. The teachers and extra assistance was always available if I needed additional help. When I first applied, I thought that many of my classes will not be accepted because I was changing my major, but all 55 credits that I received from my previous school was accepted, except for 1. Online classes are not for the procrastinators. You do have to organize your time and self reliant.

The system is often very slow and has failed to open. There seems to be consistent problems with the network reliability. All to often the professor has had to grant extension on assignments because of the network issues.

Overall, I have had some professors that were excellent. You know what their expectations were from the first day of class. They were also available for tutoring if needed. A primary complaint that I have is the lack of freedom for the professor to teach their class. This would enhance the learning experience because the use of real world experiences. Registering for classes online is very problematic; I prefer to call Student Support to register for my classes.

I am a business major, and the majority of my classes have been applicable to my major. However, there were (are) required classes that I felt did not apply to my major. The workload is tolerable, but having to answer online discussion questions and participate in the classroom discussions are a bit too much.

The professors are always willing to help with anything they are able to help with. I had no issues with the class registration process. Taking all the classes I need to be able to get my degree. The workload is not overwhelming it allows us to still maintain our lives and be able to still continue college.

My school consists of working- class people with full-time jobs and/or families. They also have many out of high school students as well. They accept all that are willing to achieve there goals of getting a degree. Everyone is there to better them self in there current career as well as some are just starting out with there life and getting degree to pursue there careers.

My campus, although small, offers many of the things a larger campus may have. Computer room, and library.
College Senior 2013-04-20T18:56:15Z
The professors are very knowledgeable and helpful. Although my classes are online the professors are reachable via email or telephone. I only wish that my university offers more selections in terms of curriculum. I like languages and it not offered. There is a minimum selection on the degree you can obtain.

I am a business major at Strayer and because I transferred a lot of my electives from a community college, I can now only focusing on my Business courses. The workload is not as difficult or compact ( classes are 10 weeks intervals) as I thought it would be. Many of my business curriculum are exactly what I'll need to have a step and basic knowledge of what I want to do upon graduation.

The administration could be a lot more helpful to the students. The teachers are wonderful.

The staff changes like every other month. They could be a little more helpful.
