Students seem to agree that no matter what your scene, you should be able to find a fair share of attractive people. Binghamton students may lack supermodel-caliber looks, but they more than make up for it with personality, as many describe the people around campus as friendly and nice.
People at Binghamton are looking for everything, from long-term relationships to quick hookups, so no matter what you want, it can be found. And while there are a few snobs and jerks, there should be plenty of attractive eye-candy that is also easy to get along with.

Whatever
Literally, just whatever. The guys and girls are okay. They're actually kind of boring. There is drama, but mostly people just hook-up and move on.

There are many clubs and organizations on campus, and it is very easy to meet people if you get involved in some of them. Whether you are into science, theater, art, politics, or writing, you can find people with similar interests. And when you go out at night, you can meet an even more diverse group of people. Some people complain that a snobby Greek scene can crowd the dining halls during the day and the libraries at night, but for the most part, the focused and goal-driven students at Binghamton are willing to stop and make some friends along the way.
At Binghamton, you will find people who prefer both. There are many who come in to the school already in a relationship, and there are even more that enter long-term relationships while in college. There are also those who are not in relationships, and the fraternity parties and bars make for a swinging singles scene.
There is no real hotspot at Binghamton to meet guys or girls. Most would agree that the frats and bars are not where any lasting relationships are going to start. Many people meet friends and partners alike in their classes, dorms, or during extracurricular activities.
Students wear whatever makes them feel comfortable. For some, that means pajama pants and sweatshirts, for others, button down shirts and khakis. Designer clothes abound; those sweatpants are probably 40 dollars at Donna Karan, but nobody will think less of you and your two-for-five-dollars Fruit of the Loom pair. The key is there are no real stereotypes at Binghamton. That kid with the green hair and torn up jeans is just as likely to be in organic chemistry as theater.
