Bing Is Awesome!

One thing I love about Binghamton is that there is so much to do for people who dont like going out and drinking all the time. Every weekend, there's Late Nite and they have tons of things to do, there are always bands playing and free food. Plus, everyone is super friendly.

Mostly the Same as Other Schools

I do not believe that there is anything that sets this school apart from every other school. It has the same basic programs as every college. Although it does have numerous clubs and organizations.

Traditions
  • Caribbean Festival: This annual festival attracts visitors and performers from all over the country, as they come together to celebrate Caribbean pride.
  • Purim Carnival: The annual Purim Carnival offers great games, rides, costume contests, and of course, delicious food.
  • Spring Fling: The annual celebration of the return of warm weather, even though it often continues to snow after the event has passed. There is a carnival atmosphere with live music, and everyone comes out to enjoy the fun. There is also a concert by a popular musician—50 Cent last year, Nickelback the year before.
  • Stepping on the Coat: This takes place during Spring Fling and signals the start of warm weather. A student takes off their coat and ceremoniously steps on it, extinguishing the cold weather once and for all.
