Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Interviews are not typically required for admission into Binghamton University, as either an incoming freshman or transfer student. Information sessions can always be scheduled by contacting the Admissions office if there are any questions that need to be answered about the application or admission process. Scheduled information sessions last between 30 and 40 minutes. They are followed by a student-guided tour and are generally held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday any time during the year (except on holidays, during finals, and during spring break).

Campus Tours

Information sessions followed by student-guided tours are generally held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on various dates throughout the school year. You can check out the available dates and register for a session online or call (607) 777-2171. Self-guided walking tours, which include an opportunity to speak with an admissions counselor, are also available. No registration is required for a self-guided walking tour, but check the website for available dates.

Overnight Visits

If an overnight visit to Binghamton is needed, then there are plenty of hotels at which to stay in the area. There are special visiting weekends during the fall and spring semesters for prospective students and parents that want a more in-depth look at Binghamton's campus, student life, and academics.
