The small scale of classes has allowed me to truly bond with my professors and have allowed me to feel comfortable in my studies. They are always available for guidance and have pushed me to become a better student.

Flexible, Open, and Interesting! Being an Environmental Biology major is amazing. The curriculum is extremely open to tweaking (your entire senior year is electives!), and offers plenty of opportunity for customization for what you want to take. All of the professors are excellent to work with and are more than willing to lend a hand getting an internship, lab position, or employment. They also like to just talk about the work they're doing, so find a professor that has similar interests and get on board!

Excellent, Though Some Classes Need Work – Overall, the academics have been excellent. The professors are almost always extremely knowledgeable in their fields, and many are THE expert in their field. They are all passionate about their work and love being able to talk about it. A couple of the introductory/freshman classes are kind of weak, but I guess that's to be expected. Once you get into the upper-level courses, that's when the academics truly shine. Another slight problem, though minor, is that some of the courses are still rather new and are being worked out. With time, though, I'm sure they'll work out.

Natural Resources Management – Few years ago, after I graduated from high school, even a year after I attended to a community college in Brooklyn. I always wondered as my other friends: what is my interest? And, which major is suitable for myself? Fortunately, I am no longer struggling in those questions about my own life, but a clear and desirable goal in my life that has been motivating myself to be achieved. Natural resources management is a major that focus on different aspects or issues in the environment that needed to be address or efficiently use for human. There are lots of environmental organizations, either international or national, require elites to save natural resources with educated profession. Our school provides internship and job opportunities on every Feb. for students to achieve their job experiences with financial supports. The ESF hybrid forest in Syracuse provides experimental studies and ranger school in Wanakena provides field experiences for students to practice in field with professional skills. There are also lots of scholarships support our students academically and economically with international studies in China, Africa, or India.
