SUNY Farmingdale State College Summary

The college is in the process of enhancing our gym, creating a new school of business building and updating some of the older halls in order to be accessible to everyone that comes onto campus. They just installed brand new mac labs in the visual communications department as well as built a student center that contains the bookstore, cafe, meeting rooms and a ballroom.

I mainly chose this school because I applied to mostly out of state schools but my parents didn't want me to apply to receive more loans. I also came here because I was accepted into the EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) because I wouldn't be able to get in on my own. There are a good amount of ups about the school based on whats surrounding it but registering for classes can be a hassle if you register too late. Your schedule will be horrible. And for incoming freshman, you'll be in Dewey Hall where sometimes there is no heat or hot water. Also there's no central air so you'll need your own fan when its hot.

Most classes transfer and it's very easy to find a class for the time that you need it for

My school has quality technological resources but besides that everything is pretty out of date. Although they're on a kick of rebuilding things so it should improve

I have not really experianced the school so much, but what I have participated in already has been great.
