SUNY Fredonia becomes a second home to almost all of its students. Because the campus is relatively small, it is easy to develop close friendships with other students, which is extremely important when living away from home. If given the chance, many students would choose SUNY Fredonia again over any other school. It is rare for students to decide to leave the school because they did not like the atmosphere or the school. SUNY Fredonia is not just a place to meet lifelong friends, but it is also a place to develop as a person and discover what to do in life. This is where the school’s professors come into play.
The professors at SUNY Fredonia genuinely want the students to succeed. Both the professors and the school make sure that students are prepared for their chosen career fields before they graduate. There are endless options to ensure that this happens, from internships to academic adviser guidance. It is unusual to hear pending graduates say that they feel unprepared for the real world. And most students will be happy to share their feelings on this; another unique aspect of the University is its friendly atmosphere. There is a place for everyone on campus, and the students are extremely supportive of each other. It is because of this accepting atmosphere that a majority of the students falls in love with the campus and local community, and learns to call it "home."
