The dorms are a great place to meet friends. I've heard first year housing can get crazy, but Suffolk has been a nice place to live in.

Dorm rooms are about average in size, with reasonable space for personal items. Amenities are terrific, there is a small kitchen area that includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink. Student population is around 5,000 so socializing is fun and easy. As an incoming freshman I was allowed to select the type of dorm experience I was looking for, ie rooming with people who are interested in writing and the arts.

While they are redoing slowly but surely all of the buildings they have only gotten 2 out of maybe 20 done. the ones that arent done are old and basically falling apart and you can see it in the ceilings and walls which are old.

Living on Geneseo's campus is a great experience because you are able to make new friends and meet new people. Relating to matching me with my room mate, they did a bad job because my room mate and I are the complete opposite, but I tend to make sure our relationship is a healthy one. It is not the same case for everyone. I am part of hall council in my hall which helped me meet most of the residents in my Hall as well as make close friends. The RA's are super nice and great people to get to know. The cost is not too much, but coming from an average household I would say it would be great if it would cost less. The housing process was not difficult whatsoever but once again the room mate pairing was not so great.

I haven't lived in a dorm so far that I haven't loved. I lived in Onondaga Hall my freshman year, it is one of the newer dorms on campus and the rooms are actually really big for corridor style. Some of the Halls (Jones, Stueben, Livingston) really show how old they are, and could use renovation, however most of the other dorms on campus have great room conditions, with large common spaces in suite style living, and abundant lounges in corridor style. There is wi-fi available in all of the resident halls as well as plentiful laundry rooms, and kitchens in each lounge or quad.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
