Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Finding a parking spot at the University can be like finding a needle in a haystack; frustrating, time-consuming, and seemingly impossible. Students are often reluctant to drive anywhere in fear of losing their parking spot and spending too much time waiting for a new one, like a lion stalking its prey. Each parking lot is relatively small and always full, except at night. The teachers' lot is closer to campus, so not only is there a small selection of spots, but you also have to walk even farther when you finally do find one.

Tickets are given out on a daily basis, causing even more frustration to poor college kids who have to dip into their beer and Taco Bell fund to pay for a frivolous ticket. However, it definitely isn’t necessary for students to have a car at school. It’s convenient if you need to bring a lot of bags home from Walmart or crave a late-night drive to Five Guys, though. The public transportation is very reliable and cheap, and you need not worry about hiking back to campus or getting expensive tickets.

Parking

parking is fine. as long as you park in the designated student areas you shouldn't have a problem. and visitors park for free on weekends, just be sure they have a parking pass on Monday because they will be ticketed by 8am.

Parking on Campus

I don't have a car on campus but I've heard from others that parking is a nightmare, and that people receive unfair parking tickets.
