If you look under “bad (adj.)” in Roget’s Thesaurus, you will find a number of words that have one thing in common: they all have been used to describe the parking situation at UB. Most students feel that UB’s parking problems are a serious quality-of-life issue. And parking affects nearly everybody, because 20,000 students commute to campus, and most of the students in the dorms have a car parked in one of the lots. The good thing is that parking permits are free. And unlike many schools, there is always a spot somewhere on campus. Unfortunately, unless you arrive before 9:30 a.m. or after 2:30 p.m., you’re probably going to have to walk nearly 10 minutes to get to your class.
William Greiner, who stepped down as president of UB in 2003, used to say “We don’t have a parking problem; we have a walking problem.” He caught a lot of heat for it. Instead of parking at a lot that’s a bit further out, many drivers stalk students as they walk through the lots back to their cars. Once the departing student pulls out, battles sometimes ensue between two cars vying for that spot. Sometimes, middle fingers are exchanged. The smartest thing to do to avoid this ugly scenario is to learn the campus shuttle schedule, park in an outer lot, and take the shuttle to your building. Some upperclassmen have a favorite illegal spot close to the Spine where they swear they’ve never received a ticket. While a good find can work for a few months, everybody’s luck cools eventually, because the campus police are serious about ticketing.

Just get there a good 20 mins before. Lass and you'll find something. If you live on campus just bus or walk because parking would be a waste of time

Parking Is Crazy
UB has alot of parking lots but not enough to match the amount of students on campus. I have to leave a half an hour before each class to make sure I have enough time to find parking.

Availability
There is not to much availability on campus and people tend to have to walk a slight distance.
