Only for Certain Students

Scholarships through the Honors College are very helpful. The only way you can graduate from the school completely debt free. However, they don't throw them out to everybody.

They Only Care About Your Money.

If you need to talk to someone about financial aid, you must go to the Student Response Center (SRC) because Financial aid advisors are pretty much useless. I went in for an appointment, and my advisor googled my questions! I could have done that. So to get any real help, you have to go to the SRC, which students refer to as UB's DMV. Don't be surprised if you wait up to an hour standing in line. The up side is they know their stuff, and can usually solve any issues you have.

Watch out for deadlines! UB doesn't inform students when their bill is due! Check yourself on the website.
