College Prowler Take
Susquehanna academics are challenging and not to be taken lightly. That said, the classes are not so hard that nobody stands a chance of succeeding. In any course encountered, the amount of effort that a student puts into a course is the biggest determinant of how well he or she will do. Professors are very friendly and do all that they can to aid their students. All classes are taught by professors; teachers’ assistants are there to aid professors, not teach for them. The largest classes at Susquehanna usually have fewer than 35 students. The relationship between students and teachers is very open; it is not uncommon for professors to give out their home phone number along with their office hours and other contact information. Due to small class sizes and personal interactions between students and professors, it becomes much harder for students to slack off without being questioned by professors. Professors dispense grades based on more than just essays and test results; class participation and a student’s enthusiasm toward the subject are also factors. A student who is not a good test-taker but is always at class and participates has an equal chance at receiving a good grade than a student with all As on assignments. The academic programs at SU are undoubtedly one of the strongest areas that the school has to offer.

Classes are very relative. I find the classes that I like interesting whereas others are boring. I like science classes, so I find them interesting. I like most of the classes though. |

In an effort to grow into a larger school, Susquehanna has recently increased its acceptance rate up to about 80 percent. The incoming freshmen class is dumber then ever and takes away from the academics. The school's academics should deffinantly not be ranked a B+ anymore. I go here and dont think it's even close.

I have found the teachers to be very easy to get along with and talk to. Most are challenging, making you learn more than you thought you could in one semester. Most of the classes I have had have been very interesting. Many professors keep class interesting by holding debates or using different types of media in the classroom. |

The teachers are very helpful. Depending on what major you are in, your teachers will be different. Some will be fun, others will be crazy, and some will just be plain old boring. I found my classes to be interesting. There are always going to be those one or two classes that are just boring, but for the most part I enjoyed going to my classes. |
