I can't really say. I think everything's just fine, but I've only been here a semester.

When it comes to parties on campus, our Campus Safety officers are always walking around the parties when it is unnecessary to do so.

The campus policies are very solid in what they say. The campus is pretty laid back about most things though. Its at a good point between keeping the students safe and not disrupting social aspects. Drinking is not a priority, but if they see someone under age drinking, they'll simple ask that they either leave the party scene. Parking tickets are a big priority here. Being a smaller campus, parking becomes pretty competitive, so tickets are highly enforced.

Campus Safety went crazy last semester, but the college hired a new head of Campus Safety, so I don't know how it'll be for this year. There is a strict honor code that all students are expected to follow, and it is posted in all classrooms in case you might somehow forget about it. The RAs are generally pretty easygoing, but it's not impossible to get in trouble with them, and you REALLY do not want to cross an RC. Just don't.

Sweet Briar College's Honor Code is this:
Sweet Briar women do not lie, cheat, steal, or violate the rights of others. Therefore I pledge to uphold all standards of honorable conduct. I will report myself and others for any infraction of this pledge.
Sweet Briar's honor code is the basis for student life on campus. Students can leave their belongings in the library (including computers, phones, iPads, etc) or anywhere and go to get food from the dining hall and nobody will touch it. As a first year student, you must memorize the honor code. Our campus police is also very helpful, but too "strict".
Sorry, there are no reviews.
