The drug scene at Syracuse University is more than likely no different than at most schools across the United States. If a random poll of students were taken, a few would be serious drug users, some would be occasional users, and many would not use drugs at all. Marijuana is clearly the drug of choice for students, excluding alcohol, and it can be easily found on campus. Even if an individual is not an avid user, more than likely, he or she knows someone who sells weed.

At almost every party a student will attend, some party-goers will be smoking pot. It will be tough for a student to avoid being around marijuana for all four years at SU, but if the person truly doesn’t want to use, it will be easy to find ways to evade it. The Options program in the Health Center is excellent for students who feel they have a problem and would like a private counselor to help them. The staff is knowledgeable and caring.

Drugs are definitely present. Of... Drugs are definitely present. Of course, there’s weed on campus, but there’s also ecstasy, coke, acid, and ‘shrooms. All that stuff is present anywhere you go, though, and you really don’t notice it unless you are involved with it.
