College Prowler Take
Getting around campus is fairly easy if you pay attention to the many schedules and signs provided for students. Syracuse University has a convenient bus service that shuttles students to and from South Campus, as well as around main campus. There are also three bus stops on campus for trips to such places as downtown Syracuse and the Carousel Mall. As long as you know the schedule, you will certainly do fine getting around campus. Also, taxis are always readily available. Some students hail a cab to go to the airport, which can be fairly inexpensive. Other students like to use cabs as their designated driver when they go to bars and frats on campus, and they are always available late at night. Buses, trains, and planes are also convenient, as long as you can make your way to either Hancock Airport or the Transportation Center. Both are within a 10-minute drive from the SU campus. Although the airport is small, there are flights that leave from Hancock to almost every destination an SU student would need to go. Students Speak Out

Public transportation for getting...
Public transportation for getting around town is very convenient if you know where you are going and how to use it. You might run into some problems going to the mall during the week because the public bus sits at the same intersection for maybe 30 minutes.

A car is not necessarily a necessity. There is public transportation available for students at SU, but it is not convenient at all. If you have a car, you are majorly lucky and can go to anywhere!

On-Campus Transportation
There is a shuttle service that runs routes around campus. Unfortunately, these buses make very infrequent trips around SU. SU Shuttle U Home (315) 443-2224
Public Transportation
The CENTRO buses are free, and run to Carousel Mall, downtown Syracuse, and the train station, as well as across the entire campus.
